  • Towel Warmer Applications: Part 3- Garages

    admin 2:00 pm on February 1, 2010 | 0 Permalink | Reply

garageHave you ever stepped into your garage in the winter months only to find it was just as cold as outside?

For many people who do not have mudrooms, the garage is the most frequently used entrance by residents.

Towel warmers can be a great application to any garage. On cold mornings, simply come out and grab your coat and gloves that have been nicely warming. (It is a great feeling!)

The electric heated towel bars and panel space heaters are a great idea if you live in an especially cold climate, as they will help dry off that wet winter clothes your family drags in and keep them free from mildew growth.

Electric towel warmers are energy efficient and can help save your car engine. Keep it warm overnight; it’s almost as good as having heated seats!

My towel warmer has personally changed my morning experience. Waking up when you are nice and warm and having to go outside to freezing weather can be an unfavorable experience, but with a towel warmer that also serves as a space heater, I can put on warm outerwear and get into my car comfortably.

Amba Towel Warmers offers an extensive collection to choose from, with wattage starting very low and prices extremely affordable.

How many people would love to have a towel warmer in their garage? If you do, how has it changed your home and your morning experience?

Next week we will discuss our last and final towel warmer application, the mudroom. Stay tuned!

  • Towel Warmer Applications: Part 2 Spas and Pools

    admin 10:49 am on January 22, 2010 | 0 Permalink | Reply

poolBesides keeping towels dry, towel warmers have many functions and can be used in rooms outside the traditional bath, such as spas and pools.

Not only do they offer visual appeal but they serve as a multi-functional accessory.

For those who own a pool, hot tub or enjoy water sports and use extra towels like crazy this is just what you need!

Towel warmers are also great to hang bathing suits so you don’t drip them to the inside dryer. Towel warmers are wonderful for drying off and freshening, they also help prevent mold and mildew from growing on surfaces.

The warmers save on time and energy and use far less the wattage of a dryer. (They have saved us a significant amount on our home energy bill)

Many people install towel warmers near their pool and spa for drying and combating humidity. This is a great option for preventing mildew and the stench wetness leaves on clothes and swimwear.

Amba Towel Warmers offers large 82 and 61 inch wide models specifically for this application.

Are there any handy ways any of you use towel warmers, would you put a towel warmer in your pool/ spa area?

Next week we will be back discussing more applications for towel warmers!

Towel Warmer Applications: Pt. One- The Laundry Room

    sml_launrdy

Why settle for cold, possibly damp towels when you can enjoy the affordable luxury of a towel warmer? Dry, warm, fresh towels and toasty spaces are possible with a towel warmer.

Towel warmers might just be one of the greatest inventions yet. However, most people think that a towel warmer’s only purpose is in a bathroom; contrary to most beliefs there are actually several places to use them.

In colder temperatures, most towel warmers can also serve as space heaters. Hot showers may be nice in the winter, but we could all do without the after shock of getting out when it’s freezing!

Towel warmers serve multiple functions in multiple places, but this week we are going to focus on the benefits of having a towel warmer in a laundry room.

It may sound like an odd place to have a towel warmer, but using one in the laundry room is actually quite beneficial.

Towel warmers are designed to warm and dry bath linens faster than air drying.  It is a sustainable and more energy efficient way to reduce laundry loads (which kill our energy bills) with the added benefit of keeping those damp and musty towels from becoming mildewed and unsanitary.

Electric towel warmers, like many offered in the Amba Towel Warmers collection can be used to warm and dry clothes. Towel warmers are perfect for drying delicate (like bras and underwear) and hand washable items. (I use these every time I wash my lingerie and it keeps them from shrinking!)

During winter months, damp coats, jackets and mittens can also be used on a towel warmer.  Not only will they be dry and warm when you use them, but they will stay wrinkle and mildew free!

How do you use your towel warmers?

Next week we will discuss the benefits of towel warmers in spa and pool areas.

  • Handy Ways to use Towel Warmers:

    admin 2:14 pm on November 16, 2009 | 0 Permalink | Reply

What other applications are there for towel warmers?

Besides keeping towels dry, towel warmers have many functions and can be used in rooms outside the bathroom alone. For example, in colder weather, towel warmers can be used for damp coats and clothing. Not only do they dry and keep the clothing free of mildew, they also make them warm for the next time you put them on to go out.

According to Greenliving.com, most towel warmers are designed to run all the time. While it may seem inefficient, the operating power usually uses less than a light bulb and is definitely less energy-wasting than running the dryer. There are many handy ways to use towel warmers.

Every day, we find people using Amba Products in new and creative ways. Some recent examples are:

    • Drying Bathing Suits
    • Commercial use in hotel bathrooms
    • To hang Pressed Pants on
    • Bathrobes
    • In boat, cabins and yachts
    • To dry delicate garments -installed in the Laundry room.
    • To keep kitchen cloths and oven mitts dry- installed in the kitchen
    • For wet jackets, ski boots, socks etc…- installed in Mudrooms

  • Are towels as warm as when they come out of a dryer?

    admin 11:36 am on November 3, 2009 | 0 Permalink | Reply

    baby

Will towels feel as warm as they do when they come out of a dryer?

The primary benefit of a towel warmer is to keep towels warm and dry and consequently reduce the need for excessive laundering of towels. Towels will not be as hot as they are when they first come out of a dryer. To maintain that type of heat the towel warmers would need to be as hot as an iron. This would end up scorching the towels as well as being a safety hazard not to mention a major waste of power, and who could afford that in these tough times?

However, the units have a built in thermostat & internal thermal cutout, the unit will cycle itself to an average temperature of 154 to 158˚ degrees Fahrenheit. It switches itself on and off just like a hot water tank, leaving towels warm and dry (safely).

Not only do Italian-designed Amba Towel Warmers offer cutting-edge functionality, they are aesthetically pleasing, energy efficient and affordable. They are a great way to dry towels and keep bathrooms warm and mildew free. Amba towel warmers help prevent mold and mildew which can be a health hazard.

According to healthandenergy.com, mildew is mold that grows on fabric. Mold is not just something that can ruin clothing or towels; it is a health hazard that can seriously contaminate the air you breathe. Mold “spores” can be spread very easily through air and water, even when towels are just the slightest bit moist.

Amba Products mission is to deliver high quality affordable products. Our products are all made of solid 304 Stainless Steel, and are less likely to rust or flake like those products which are chrome plated. Amba offers a wide range of styles, sizes and finishes all at affordable prices.
